Today's just an autumn day so ordinary,
Raindrops fall, calmly and a touch of melancholy.
But I love it already, oh, so romantically.
Now, I'll pop some corn in the microwave with glee,
Rom-coms playing,
wrapped in a warm blanket, just me.
A crucial task awaits, no time to delay,
In the brightest clothes, I'll stroll your way.
Umbrella in hand, hoping to meet you, I say.
We're strangers, I know, and maybe not a match,
Yet drawn to you, can't help but latch.
Is it love or just an attraction, I can't quite catch.
No butterflies in my stomach, it seems,
Yet past your house, I wander in dreams.
Hoping today, our paths finally gleam.
Choosing attire in the wardrobe's embrace,
Orange pants, blue shoes – a vibrant grace.
A purple hat crowns, setting the pace.
My holey umbrella, a trusty sidekick,
Chewing gum too, in case our lips click.
Now, I'm in the elevator,
in a puddle left by a cute neighbor's dog.
She always looked at me funny; on Wednesdays,
she eats pate that makes her fart a lot.
That's why on Wednesdays, I prefer taking the stairs.
Now, I'm walking on the street
through puddles and yellow leaves,
And soon, I'll be at your house.
So, here I am. And you're here.
Heart pounding, butterflies in my stomach.
I slowed down and thought about what to do.
Decided it's worth approaching after all.
Our eyes met,
Now there's nothing to lose, I'm going...
