Winter's gone, sunshine's here,
and the nights are pure and white,
Wrote a note to you, my friend,
adventure in the morning light.
Sunbeams woke me up today,
grabbed my keys, hit the street,
Windows down, I'm on my way,
smiling at everyone I meet.
Wind whispers in the car,
radio playing our favorite song,
You spot me and run through
the puddles from the rain that's gone.
Now we're off to seek some fun,
time is on our side,
You're drying off your feet,
singing songs with joy inside.
On the road, a lady we find,
helped her get back home,
She treated us to lasagna
and gave a blanket of her own.
You brought a photo album,
"Moments with my dearest friend," it read,
While I watched the road ahead,
you shared memories, laughter spread.
He texts you, asks forgiveness,
today's not his day,
He calls, but won't spoil your joy,
happiness is here to stay.
We stopped for lunch on the way,
hot dogs and sour drinks,
Ran on the beach, sand fights,
polaroids and friendly links.
You placed the pictures in the album,
gazing at the sky,
Stars guide us, showing the path,
as we drive by.
"Back to You" starts to play,
windows wide open wide,
Singing loud, the boy
and his dog from the car beside.
Now we're watching our favorite film
in a house amidst the trees,
Dancing in the kitchen,
fried potatoes with such ease.
We're happy, it's real,
true friendship in our hearts,
Full bellies, different corners,
room filled with secret-sharing arts.
The fireplace crackles,
our tales take flight,
Proof that friendship exists,
it's a beautiful sight.
So glad we're the living proof,
hand in hand we stand,
Under the fire's soft sound,
sharing secrets, giving advice so grand.
